Simon Lamouret - autor scenariusza i rysunków spędził na budowie apartamentowca wiele miesięcy, powoli nawiązując kontakt z pracownikami. Gdy pojawił się element zaufania robotnicy powierzyli mu swoje historie.

Na ich podstawie Lamouret stworzył postaci bohaterów i napisał na pół fikcyjne dialogi. Niewielka budowa, na której dosłownie zamieszkali bohaterowie komiksu jest prawdziwą wieżą Babel, w której spotykają się i muszą ze sobą dogadywać ludzie różnych wyznań, narodowości i kast.
