LOFTS OF LONDON
LOFTS OF BRUSSELS
Dostępność:na zamowienie After previous publications about the lofts in Antwerp, Amsterdam, London, Paris, Berlin and Scandinavia the publisher Tectum went on a voyage of discovery in search of the lofts of Brussels. This late-in-the-day European capitol city phenomenon has emerged like lightning. It's happened so fast that the supply of unused industrial buildings has been almost exhausted. The enthusiasm generated by the cosmopolitan public there has encouraged the actors in this market to search for new ways to expand on the generally wide perspectives that appropriate this lifestyle.
ROOMS FOR KIDS
Our work habits are changing. More and more people, especially liberal professionals and those who have creative occupations, choose to work away from the crammed and impersonal offices of their companies. The alternative, the office at home, has slowly become the favored solution for those who cannot practice their profession within rigid hierarchical structures or for those who do not depend on a strictly centralised flow of information. The consolidation of the internet and new technologies has made it possible to turn something that was a dream only a few years ago into a normal routine for millions of people around the world.

STEP OUTSIDE URBAN TARRACES...
SPA: BEAUTY, HEALTH & DESIGN
Spas are no longer a luxury item. Today they attract an ever-wider public including architects and interior designers, many of whom view these spaces as the new temples of the modern era. Far from being simply for hedonistic purposes, spas are often viewed as holistic health centres, where physical and mental health combine as the whole organism is encouraged to relax and cleanse.
SMALL LIVING
Interior designers are increasingly faced with the challenge of designing within small spaces. This compilation of projects from around the world pays special attention to the particular features of each space, the end result being determined by the pre-existing features and thus creating the optimum living experience. The property's location within the city, the building's architectural characteristics, its structure and the lighting and ventilation conditions are points of departure for the interior designer.
PRACTICAL IDEAS FOR HOME...
LIVING IN SMALL SPACES
Is a large canvas really necessary to paint a masterpiece? The obvious answer would be that the size of the canvas and the brilliance of an artwork bear no mutual relation. This book demonstrates just this point in the world of creative interior design. The continuous downsizing of urban apartments has led to a search for new design solutions to make a virtue out of limited available space. The final result is a philosophy of life based on the small, flexible and adaptable. This book presents 56 apartments with considerable size constraints and shows the inventive living spaces that can result.
