Pracę nad trzynastowiecznymi portalami na Śląsku rozpoczął Tadeusz Kozaczewski, a ukończyła Hanna Kozaczewska-Golasz - historycy architektury, profesorowie Wydziału Architektury Politechniki Wrocławskiej. W swojej działalności naukowej poświęcili się pracom badawczym nad architekturą i urbanistyką średniowieczną na Śląsku, w okresie panowania dynastii Piastów śląskich.
