Dostępność: na zamówienie The climatic development over the past years and the predicted climate change worldwide give us reason to launch a new series, which will deal with architecture in extreme environment as well as with extreme architecture in general. Special requirements, due to climatic conditions in their increasing radicalness, do not only demand a great deal of material and workmanship but also ask for a special engineering performance and adjusted architectural concepts.
The possibillities to design or modify the space in a home can be limited; one faces restrictions on the constructed surface space or the land to build on as well as economic and regulatory limitations. But even so, architects create innovative and original proposals that adapt to the requirements of the owners. The projects presented in this volume are the result of the changes made in private residences. The objective of these interventions is to enlarge spaces, personalize rooms, improve the distribution of space and make its use more rational.
