VeryGraphic. Polish Designers of the 20th Century pod redakcją Jacka Mrowczyka to pierwsza tak obszerna kompilacja informacji o współczesnym polskim projektowaniu graficznym. Razem z Out of the Ordinary, która skupiła się na wzornictwie, publikacje te składają się na unikalne kompendium wiedzy o polskim designie XX wieku. Książka powstała w języku angielskim, by zaprezentować na świecie ogromny i różnorodny dorobek polskich projektantów grafików. Choć ma on bardzo bogatą historię, pozostaje mało znany na arenie międzynarodowej. Polska grafika użytkowa to przecież o wiele więcej niż tylko uznana na świecie szkoła plakatu.
As architecture and design programmes throughout the world break out of the classroom and adopt the holistic methods of design/build programs, Materials for Architectural Design 2 bridges the gap between construction materials and design sensibility. Authors Victoria Ballard Bell and Patrick Rand have revisited the format of their award-winning first volume and present sixty new case studies of materials put to imaginative use by today’s brightest architects.

The environmental impact of interior architecture and design practice is immense. This book highlights the need for designers to adapt the way they work and relearn lessons that have been lost. Contrary to many preconceptions, sustainable design can be sophisticated and stylish. And by its nature, a sustainable approach means considering the whole life cycle of a project and therefore improving the functionality, quality, human enjoyment and, in the long term, bringing real social and economic benefits.
Featuring 50 cutting-edge projects from around the world, this international survey of workplace design is the ultimate resource for anyone creating the workplace of today or tomorrow. Abundantly illustrated with plans and photographs throughout, the book is divided into three colour-coded sections. Part 1 showcases low-cost workplaces created for small companies. Part 2 is a collection of medium-sized projects, all of which place a strong emphasis on environmental sensitivity and getting the most from a restricted budget. Part 3 is a selection of offices designed for large companies; here too the aim is to be as eco-friendly as possible, as well as to provide spaces that promote productivity, creativity and enhanced interaction between employees.
Necessity is the mother of invention, and the global necessity of facing the challenges of Climate Change has unleashed the inventive powers of architects around the world, many of whom are tackling the problem in original and highly creative ways. And yet, as the projects contained in this volume attest, sustainable design doesn't necessarily preclude style and comfort, or even a little bit of luxury.

Since the beginning of the housing boom of the 1950s, the size of the average North American house has steadily grown while the size of the average family has decreased. Today, a growing number of homebuyers seeking smaller, more efficient residential designs are rediscovering a centuries old housing prototype: the narrow house. Measuring twenty-five-feet wide or less, these "infill" or "skinny" houses, as they are often called, are on the rise in cities and suburbs around the world.

In 1994, after several years of training in his field, he established his own studio in Barcelona.
Surveying applied arts and industrial design from the 18th century to the present day, this book explores the dynamic relationship between design and manufacturing, and the technological, social and commercial context in which this relationship developed. The effects of a vastly enlarged audience for the products of modern design and the complex dynamic of mass consumption are also discussed. Part of this dynamic reveals that products serve as signs for desires that have little to do with need or function.
New Green Homes presents the latest innovations in sustainable architecture and design. Projects include "green" houses, apartments, lofts, and cabins, and explore various aspects of environmentally-friendly design from its ecological and economical benefits to the factors that need to be considered when choosing materials, such as the amount of energy that went into manufacturing the product; its sustainability; the life-expectancy of its materials; and the question of if the materials used can be recycled or safely disposed of if they break down over time. Specific topics covered include climate regulation, drainage systems, and regional planning.
