URBAN GARDEN DESIGN
Landscaping is the design of open spaces, using both live and inert elements to transform and order nature. However, the landscaping of residential gardens and areas can address different criteria to that of their larger, public counterparts. Ideas such as privacy and concepts that take the family into account prevail over other considerations. It is as if the garden becomes another room of the house, lived in and used on a daily basis. This book presents more than 30 examples of urban garden designs by Ignasi and Xavier Bisbe (Arboretum).

Dostępność:na zamowienie * Provides a response by practicing landscape architects to Thomas Sieverts’s concept of urban sprawl * Gives indispensable coverage necessary for a deeper understanding of contemporary trends in landscape architecture and city planning Landscape architecture is a discipline that can bring order to the chaos of contemporary urbanism. It can also give shape and structure to the dispersed city, offering solid answers wherever the debate over the cityterritory and urban sprawl – with good reason – looks set to monopolize the attention of urbanists and architects for a long time to come. As yet, there are very few landscape architecture agencies in Europe that are both deeply involved in the territory and committed to a clear method of work.
RECENT WATERSCAPES
Dostępność:na zamowienie After decades of being banished from residential areas, water is now becoming an increasingly significant feature in urban design.
