Ze wstępu: "Z braku funduszy mogliśmy dopiero w rok po zdarzeniach nazwanych SZTUKA CMENTARNA, a odbytych w końcu października 1993 r., rozpocząć wydawanie związanych z nimi materiałów. Przede wszystkim z międzynarodowego sympozjum. Przepraszam za to uczestników - ale jak to mówią w Polsce -lepiej później niż nigdy. Dziękuję wszystkim którzy byli wówczas we Wrocławiu, a szczególnie tym spośród nich którzy pozostali z nami w kontakcie dla uzupełnienia swych tekstów, dosłania ilustracji, a także ułatwienia nam zwrotu materiałów wystawowych. Miło mi zauważyć, że pomimo drukowania dopiero teraz materiałów tego sympozjum, poprzez wcześniejsze zapoznanie z jego wynikami zarówno ICOMO
