Celem pracy jest zwrócenie uwagi na wartości zabytkowych układów przestrzennych i pojedynczych obiektów architektonicznych, znajdujących się w obrębie zespołów podworskich, na przykładzie wielkopolskiej posiadłości Racot. Ramy chronologiczne obejmują okres od lat siedemdziesiątych XVII w. do chwili obecnej. Sytuację formalno-prawną folwarków przedstawiono w celu podkreślenia zagrożeń prowadzących do zniszczenia tożsamości kulturowej oraz wartości historycznych i krajobrazowych. Grażyna Balińska jest profesorem na Wydziale Architektury Politechniki Wrocławskiej. Od roku 1995 jest kierownikiem Zakładu Konserwacji i Rewaloryzacji Architektury.
