Śląska Kolej Górska, wiodąca u podnóża Sudetów, powstała w latach 1863–1867 na szlaku Görlitz/Węgliniec – Jelenia Góra – Wałbrzych. Architektura obiektów stacyjnych i drogowych obiektów inżynieryjnych szlaku stanowi jedno z wybitniejszych dzieł budownictwa kolejowego ówczesnej epoki.
