Podręcznik składa się z pięciu bloków tematycznych, w których omówiono podstawy odwzorowań przestrzennych na płaszczyźnie za pomocą rzutów równoległych i prostokątnych oraz teorię zapisu konstrukcji mechanicznych i elektrotechnicznych. Przedstawiono niezbędne narzędzia komputerowe służące do tworzenia rysunków płaskich i przestrzennych, ich zapisu, edycji rysunków i modyfikacji. Podano opis graficznego programu do zapisu układów elektrycznych i elektroenergetycznych. Ostatni blok stanowią zadania kontrolne. Do podręcznika dołączono dwie płyty z programami AutoCAD i WSCAD.
