NEW SMALL SPACES
SAARINEN Serraino Pierluigi
Eero Saarinen 1910-1961 Sculptural structures "Each age must create its own architecture out of its own technology and one which is expressive of its own Zeitgeist—the spirit of the time". - Eero Saarinen Eero Saarinen (1910-1961) was one of the 20th century`s great visionaries, both in the fields of furniture design (he created the ubiquitous Knoll "Tulip" chairs and tables, for example) and in architecture. Among his greatest accomplishments are monuments that shaped architecture in postwar America and became icons in themselves: Washington D.C.'s Dulles International Airport, the very sculptural and fluid TWA terminal at JFK Airport in New York, and the 630-foot high "Gateway to the West," the Arch of St. Louis.
Living in Style New York
Few cities are as renowned for its energy and style as New York. Long a magnet for leaders in fashion, art, design, and commerce, this metropolis is home to one of the most influential assortments of tastemakers anywhere. It’s no wonder that New York’s top interiors would be as dynamic and varied as its inhabitants. Browsing through the pages of this stunning volume, we get a chance to glimpse the luxurious and imaginative rooms normally hidden from public view—or only ever seen by the privileged few—amid both urban and country landscapes. Whether it’s aspiration or curiosity that drives you, you’ll find plenty to marvel at in these extraordinarily high-end living spaces.

The Chichu Art Museum Tadao...
Dostępność: na zamówienie On the Japanese island of Naoshima, star architect Tadao Ando has developed a new museum building designed especially for spectacular works by Claude Monet, Walter de Maria and James Turrell. One of the most recent achievements in the brilliant career of Japanese architect Tadao Ando is a spectacular structure composed of basic geometric forms. Situated on the island of Naoshima off the picturesque coast of western Japan, the Chichu Art Museum provides a congenial setting for the presentation of an exquisite selection of undisputed masterpieces of artistic reduction, including a monumental sculpture by Walter De Maria, meditative light installations by James Turrell, and a series of Claude Monet's incomparable Water Lilies.
